About the title
A girl walks alone through the city at night. First: a bar, alcohol, aggressive quasi-karaoke, wild dancing, then intense sex with a stranger in a backyard and greedily devoured fast-food chips — nothing worth remembering the next morning. What torments her memory is something else: the suicide of her best friend, a gay man named Alistair, who jumped off a railway bridge. And now every day and every night, Lucy's life turns into a feverish search for balance.
