About the title
Fiona is an archaeologist whose career is on the rise, but her relationship with her teenage daughter Lily has long been at a dead end. The girl is withdrawn, defiant, and blames her mother for her parents' divorce. Hoping to grow closer, Fiona takes Lily with her on an expedition to an Irish island where, according to legend, the pagan goddess Morrigan is buried. Fiona wants to prove the goddess was a real historical figure. But when Lily opens an ancient sarcophagus, a storm engulfs the island, cutting the group off from the outside world. The girl becomes possessed by the spirit of Morrigan, who yearns to be reborn. Fiona realizes that to save her daughter, she'll have to learn the truth about the sinister goddess, whatever it costs her.
