About the title
Rural Ireland, 1920. Twins Rachel and Edward live in their family's crumbling estate. Their bloodline bears an ancient curse, and every night the estate fills with mysterious inhabitants who make sure three rules are followed: the twins must be in bed by midnight, they must not let outsiders into the house, and if one of them tries to escape, it will put the other's life in danger. One day war veteran Sean returns to the neighboring village, and his attention is captured by the mysterious Rachel. He becomes interested in her life, which leads Rachel to start breaking the rules.
