About the title
Ariel is the youngest daughter of the sea king Triton, a charming, determined young mermaid who dreams of adventure. She is drawn to the world of humans - a world so mysterious and, according to her father, very dangerous, which is why he strictly forbids his daughter from swimming near ships or even thinking about approaching a human. But one day Ariel meets Prince Eric and falls in love with him at first sight. Following her heart, she makes a deal with the cunning sea witch Ursula. In exchange for her magical voice, the little mermaid will get legs and a chance to find happiness with the prince. "The Little Mermaid" is a live-action adaptation of the Disney animated film starring Halle Bailey as Ariel.
