About the title
In 1909, as the days of the Wild West wind down, Willie Boy falls in love with young Native American Carlota. Her father, the Chemehuevi tribal chief, disapproves of their relationship. When the chief dies from an accidental gunshot, the young couple tries to escape into the merciless Mojave Desert. A sheriff's posse, along with two Native American trackers, sets out to find them.
