About the title
It all began in London in 1965. Successful industrialist Laurence Stirling (Joe Alwyn) brings his wife Jennifer "Jenny" (Shailene Woodley) home from the hospital after a tragic car accident, the aftermath of which affected Jenny's memory — she struggles to recall events from her past, but to no avail, as doctors have diagnosed her with amnesia. In addition to her memory loss, the woman is also unhappy in her marriage to her toxic husband. The second storyline centers on charming young journalist Ellie Haworth (Felicity Jones), who lives in modern-day London and works at "The London Chronicle." One day, while researching an article about the woman who worked longest as an editor at the paper, she stumbles upon a series of love letters. These letters suggest a romantic affair between a mysterious person with the initial "J" and "Mr. B," which quickly captivates Ellie. With the help of archivist Rory (Nabhaan Rizwan), the journalist wants to unravel this mysterious story.
