About the title
Malik is one of many Russian immigrants who moved to Paris with his family. He begins climbing the criminal hierarchy, running protection rackets for shops, auto repair shops, and nightclubs. But a major drug dealer, Jean-Michel, who has subjugated Albanians, Turks, Nigerians, and Moroccans, wants to start selling drugs at Malik's venues too. Because of threats to his family, Malik declares war on Jean-Michel.
