After a wave of brutal murders sweeps the city, quiet male nurse Max Mason volunteers to take care of Lincoln Raider - the prime suspect, who was shot and fell into a coma. But the appearance of a new victim of the maniac with a similar modus operandi makes Detective Darby doubt the correct course of the investigation. Public outrage grows, demanding swift justice for the man accused of the deaths of six women. However, Darby notices troubling details suggesting that the real killer may still be at large.
