About the series
Dublin investigator Theo Richter had just decided to retire when he was called to the other side of the world to investigate the disappearance of Irish tourists. They went missing in a picturesque New Zealand village where similar cases had occurred before. The bodies of the unfortunate victims were found by a waterfall, with crosses made of bird bones in their throats. New Zealand police officer Diana Huia agrees to help Richter; she has a complicated relationship with the locals — she's originally from these parts but left many years ago, fleeing her past. They must unravel a series of mystical murders and find the Irish couple before their bodies, too, end up at the waterfall.
