About the title
Young Vincent and his father Thomas run the best glassblowing workshop in the country. The family's steady life changes rapidly with the arrival in town of an influential colonel and his daughter Aliz, a talented violinist. A budding affection grows between Vincent and Aliz, meeting resistance from their fathers, whose views on life are completely different.
