About the title
The Otis family buys an old house on an English estate and moves in. But the ghost of Mr. Simon has already been living in the house for 300 years and considers it his own. Every new owner who moved into the house before them fled within three days. This time things turn out differently. The Otises, and especially their daughter Virginia, are not only unafraid of Simon's ghost but even try to help him get rid of an ancient curse.
