About the title
Claude Shannon coined the term "bit" and laid the foundations of the information age. His ideas permeate nearly every aspect of modern life, influencing fields as diverse as linguistics, genetics, computing, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and cosmology. In the 1980s, Shannon demonstrated gadgets he had built: juggling robots, a pedal-less unicycle, a jet-powered frisbee. This film tells the story of an unsung genius and prankster who revolutionized the world but never lost his childlike curiosity about everything he encountered.
