About the title
One night, Sophie sees a giant walking through the neighboring streets outside her window. He peers into children's bedroom windows, fills his cheeks with air, and blows it inside. The girl concludes that fantastical creatures really do exist. The giant notices Sophie watching him and takes her away with him to his fairy-tale land. There she discovers that her new acquaintance collects cheerful, good dreams and hands them out to children so they'll never have nightmares. But the other inhabitants of the fantastical land aren't so kind and are soon planning to take over the human world. Sophie agrees to help, and together with the good giant, stands in the way of an army of fearsome villains.
