About the title
Jordan Hines, a somewhat high-strung head of a Hollywood agency, receives a purple envelope inviting him to an erotic encounter with a secret admirer. Although he is engaged and preparing for his wedding, he accepts the invitation and has a passionate rendezvous at a hotel with the mysterious stranger. Some time later, paranoia sets in.
