About the title
After her mother's suicide, Ellie returns to her childhood home. Sorting through her mother's belongings, she is tormented by guilt for having abandoned her and lost touch with her, and begins to distinctly sense her late mother's presence. When she is offered a few days' work as a caregiver for a paralyzed woman until she is moved to a hospital, she jumps at the chance to get away from home. Ellie arrives and starts work, with no idea that her patient is possessed by a demon.
