About the title
The small seaside town of Wellington-on-Sea is getting ready to celebrate the magic of Christmas. But not everyone in town is in a festive mood. Denny and his mom, after his dad left the family, have only just moved to town. The boy hasn't had time to make friends yet and is bored, since his mom works too much. Denny likes his classmate Sam, but she doesn't notice him at all. Christmas brings no joy to the school's formidable headmistress, Miss Trapper, either, nor to a few kids whose parents have gone off to a wedding. It looks like the only hope is Santa, who's already rushing with the presents — but a fierce blizzard knocks out his sleigh's navigation system.
