About the title
31-year-old drug addict Stefano Cucchi is arrested by the carabinieri for possession and distribution of drugs. After being detained, he is beaten by law enforcement officers and ends up in the hospital. Cucchi's health gradually deteriorates, and a week later his body gives out. In the span of one week, his family's life changes forever.
