About the title
Based on the book by Vladimir Rutkovsky. A solar eclipse activates a magical time portal, and an ordinary 21st-century schoolboy named Viktor is transported a thousand years into the past. In young Alyosha, mighty Ilya, and stern Dobrynya, Vitya has no trouble recognizing the legendary bogatyrs of Russian epic tales. Their lives are spent fighting the Cumans, who are trying by any means — both weapons and black magic — to destroy the Rus people. Vitya finds himself at the center of incredible events, does battle with mythical creatures, and learns what true bravery really is.
