About the title
In 1908, the first female student enrolls at the University of Marburg; in 1972, a shy student falls hopelessly in love with a classmate; and in 2020, a Hong Kong neuroscientist cannot leave campus due to the pandemic. The action unfolds in a botanical garden and spans three eras. They are united by one silent witness — a majestic ginkgo biloba tree.
