About the title
A charming girl named Monique Watson lived in New York with her father, but recently she went missing under fairly strange circumstances. Naturally, her father was in shock over what happened, and he had little faith that the police were truly trying to find the girl. The thing is, the girl was African American, and law enforcement was often staffed by fervent racists.
