About the title
1996, United Kingdom. One day a film crew arrives at a boys' reform school to shoot a documentary about it. Steve, the school's headmaster, tries to save the institution from closure amid government education reforms, while his own mental health starts to become a cause for concern. As the documentary makers try to learn as much as they can about the school, Steve and the teachers try to find a way to reach Shy, a quiet and withdrawn boy.
