About the title
Family bonds bring people so close together that sooner or later, someone ends up feeling left out. Isabel, the girlfriend of their divorced father, enters the lives of twelve-year-old Anna and six-year-old Ben. She does everything she can to win the love of these children who aren't her own. But Jackie, their real mother, uses all her authority and influence to prevent that. Blood ties prove stronger than Isabel's kindness and charm.
