About the title
Grandfather Batraz Zelimkhanovich lives alone in a mountain village. Semyon, the new head of the local administration, comes to tell him about the decision to liquidate the village, because "one person is not an administrative unit." Semyon needs to get Batraz's written consent to move to the city, but the old man has no intention of leaving. In a newspaper, he reads an article about Alpine villages that attract millions of tourists and decides to turn his own village into an eco-village. To accomplish this, he needs the help of his son and grandchildren, for whom it is very difficult to break away from city life.
