About the title
Jakub Procházka, raised by his grandparents in a village, becomes the first Czech cosmonaut. He is given the chance to travel to Venus, test his own heroism, and possibly atone for the sins of his spy father. Meanwhile, his devoted wife Lenka stays behind on Earth, sacrificing herself for her husband's ambitions. In the void of space, Jakub encounters a giant spider, who becomes his unique companion, engaging him in philosophical conversations about love, life, death, and, of course, the delicious taste of bacon. The question is whether Jakub will be able to return home and get a second chance at a happy life with Lenka.
