About the title
New Year is approaching, but the kids in the yard have no fir tree. They decide to write a letter to Father Frost asking for his help. But who will carry the letter into the forest? The children decide to build a snowman to deliver the mail. When it got dark, the kids went home to sleep, and the snowman came to life and set off to carry out the errand entrusted to him. The puppy Sharik joined him on the journey. A long and dangerous road awaited the messengers. Along the way the letter was lost, and a fox, a wolf, and an owl all tried to steal it. But in the end the children's message reached Father Frost. The snowman delivered the fir tree just in time for the holiday, along with a sack of gifts for the children.
