About the title
Ty and Maxine are brother and sister, an inseparable pair of sneakers. They live in a museum of elite footwear and are used to comfort. Running on the street, playing ball, or gum stuck to the sole are clearly not for them. One day a collector kidnaps Maxine, and now Ty must set out onto the streets of New York to find his sister. He's always been pampered, but now he finds himself in an amazing world of all kinds of shoes, and finally learns what real life is like.
