About the series
Clark Kent learns about his origins from his parents and learns to trust his friends with his secret, as well as to recognize that some people can't be trusted. Much of the time he pursues Lana Lang, hangs out with Pete and Chloe while trying to solve a local mystery, asks Lex for favors, and battles a meta-human every week. He's rivals with the school quarterback Whitney because Whitney is dating Lana. In the season finale, Whitney joins the army, or the navy, or something along those lines, and he and Clark more or less settle their differences. By the end, Clark and Chloe (his best friend since middle school) briefly become a couple. Clark learns more about his powers and his vulnerabilities.
