About the title
The story unfolds in 1932 in the Mississippi Delta. Twin brothers return to their hometown, hoping to leave their criminal past behind and start a new life by opening a juke joint — a music club popular in African American culture of the era. But their plans fall apart when they run into a mysterious evil far more dangerous than anything they've faced before.
