About the title
Mete is a spoiled rich kid from Istanbul, whose life consists of endless parties, spending his father's money, and utterly irresponsible behavior. After another of his antics, his father's patience runs out, and he turns to a psychologist who practices shock therapy on patients. Instead of a 19th-century Russian village, Mete ends up in the 16th-century Ottoman Empire, waking up as a stable hand in the castle of a nobleman during the reign of Sultan Suleiman.
