About the title
The main characters are two police officers: one older and slightly racist, the second seemingly not, but with his own demons. There are riots in the city after the police nearly killed a young immigrant during an arrest. When he dies in the hospital, the patrol officers (along with an Arab teenager they picked up along the way for no reason) find themselves trapped in a raging ghetto without backup from their colleagues.
