About the title
The film is set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics. At the center of the story is Geoffrey Mason, a young and ambitious producer determined to prove to his boss, renowned broadcaster Roone Arledge, that he's ready to run important live broadcasts on his own. But when a group of terrorists takes the Israeli athletes hostage, it is Geoffrey who takes charge of the live coverage. As the situation escalates, the hostages' lives hang by a thread and unverified rumors spread rapidly, forcing Mason to make difficult decisions while confronting his own moral conflicts.
