About the title
Mid-last century, London. At the theater where the action takes place, a production of Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap" is to be staged — already the 100th anniversary performance. And, as it turns out, a film adaptation is not far off. The director, who has been rather unlucky in his work of late, decides to bring the play to life and present this masterpiece to audiences on the big screen. But he dies at a party, apparently murdered. An experienced inspector and his assistant lead the investigation. It turns out the deceased had no shortage of enemies (well, not exactly enemies, but definitely ill-wishers). Any member of the theater troupe could safely be placed on the list of suspects.
