About the title
A serial killer is on the loose in New York. His victims are middle-aged men who enjoy meeting women through personal ads in the newspaper. Unfortunately, the dates end badly for the romantics: their naked bodies are found shot in the head, always in the same position. Finding the killer falls to experienced detectives Frank Keller (Al Pacino) and his partner Sherman (John Goodman). The police come up with a brilliant plan: they decide to place their own personal ad in the newspaper and use it as bait to catch the killer.
