About the title
After her mother's death, resourceful 12-year-old Georgie continues to live alone in her flat on the outskirts of London. She earns money stealing bicycles with her friend Ali, and keeps social workers away by pretending she lives with an uncle. Suddenly her father Jason, whom the girl has never really known and barely remembers, appears on her doorstep. Together they face a difficult reunion, full of disappointment and hope for the future.
