About the series
In the spring of 1941, British forces stand alone against Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy in North Africa, who intend to seize control of the Suez Canal. The story centers on three young officers — Archibald David Stirling, Robert Blair Mayne, and John Steele Lewis — united by their courage and recklessness. In an attempt to lift the siege of the vital city of Tobruk, the protagonists decide to create a special parachute regiment answerable to no one. De facto, they form the elite SAS commando unit to strike the enemy's supply lines with precision attacks.
