About the title
Fernando works as a mechanic on a cargo ship sailing between Argentina and Brazil. He has a girlfriend in each port — a young woman in Brazil and a married woman in Argentina. This life suits him just fine, but when he learns that both of his lovers are pregnant, Fernando slowly begins to sink into a pit of madness, obsession, and violence.
