Earth, 22nd century. The population has surged to sixteen billion. The world government is forced to take decisive steps to limit the population and authorizes the creation of a vaccine to be injected into every woman, rendering them sterile for three generations. But the vaccine's effect turns out to be unexpected, and the women begin turning into mutants. Martial law is soon imposed, and the whole of Earth becomes a third world. The rich and powerful gain the means and technology to colonize Mars. They leave and live in their Utopia for a while, until they decide to finally cut ties with Earth, attempting to strip its inhabitants of the few resources they have left. Meanwhile, in this earthly hell, an educated young man named Ethan tries to survive. The catastrophe separated him from his family, but he never loses hope of finding them among the ruins. Ethan faces a difficult mission, but once he manages to find allies, his chances of survival grow stronger.
