About the title
The story of the life of the legendary biblical hero Samson, famed for his extraordinary strength and his enmity with the Philistines, the ancient people who had enslaved his countrymen. Raised in servile conditions, he later caused his oppressors no end of trouble, striking terror with the mere mention of his name. Only the betrayal of a cunning temptress made it possible to overcome such a mighty man, capable of killing a thousand enemies with his bare hands.
