About the series
An adaptation of the French series "La Mante" (Mantis). Serial killer Jeanne Dronova, nicknamed "the female mantis," has been serving her sentence ever since she confessed to a series of blood-curdling murders. Twenty years ago she brutally dealt with men — pedophiles, rapists, and unfaithful husbands. Today, Jeanne has a copycat who reproduces her murders exactly. The woman offers the police her help on two conditions. First: she will leave prison for the duration of the investigation. Second: the case will be handled by her son Denis, who has had no contact with his mother for the past 20 years.
