About the title
2006. Plain, bespectacled Oliver enrolls at Oxford, where, having neither charm nor money, he is forced to socialize only with another nerd like himself. One day Oliver happens to help, and then befriends, his classmate Felix — a popular, handsome young man from an aristocratic family. Touched by his new friend's stories of a difficult childhood, Felix invites him to spend the summer holidays at the family estate, Saltburn — a veritable palace where his parents, relatives, and hangers-on while away their time in boredom.
