About the title
Yuji Kudo is a typical loser. Buried in debt, his wife has filed for divorce, his mother is in critical condition in the hospital — it seemed like things couldn't get worse. Late on December 29, he's driving to see his mother. Answering a phone call and losing focus, he causes a car accident that sets off the hardest days of his life. "A Hard Day" is a remake of the South Korean thriller of the same name from 2014.
