About the title
The film takes place in 2022, when the COVID-19 pandemic has turned life in Los Angeles into chaos and the city itself into a police state. Four couples of friends gather for an online party where they drink, do drugs, and talk. But suddenly one of the girls falls ill, and her boyfriend is unable to help her. While the hero frantically searches for a way out of the critical situation, the others are forced to watch the unfolding tragedy live. "Safer at Home" is a quarantine thriller about the consequences of the pandemic under a police state.
