About the series
"Mevlana" is a Turkish historical series telling the life and fate of the great 13th-century thinker, poet, teacher, and Islamic theologian Jalaluddin Rumi. He received the nickname Mevlana from his grateful students, meaning "our master." The series depicts Rumi's development as a mentor, poet, and religious philosopher. Mevlana urged people to cherish life in all its forms, to be humble in everyday life, to not forget their loved ones and relatives, and to be tolerant of the world's many imperfections.
