About the title
Every child should have a friend. A real one, not just some pet. That best friend could be a wonderful robot able to move and talk, but most importantly connected to the internet, helping its owner post on social media, learn about the latest trends, keep in touch with classmates, and stay up to date on events. Every schoolkid has one, except for shy Barney, who feels like an outsider among his peers because of it — until he finally gets the long-awaited gift for his birthday. But the robot, named Ron, turns out to be defective, and his young owner decides to teach him everything he knows himself.
