About the title
For two years now, high school security guard Ben has been trying to prove to experienced detective James that he deserves James's sister Angela, his future bride. This time, as the film "Ride Along" shows, he takes another step, which leads to the craziest 24 hours of his life. When Ben is finally accepted into the police academy, he thinks he has finally earned Angela's hand and heart, and asks his future brother-in-law for permission to marry her. James, in turn, invites the hero of "Ride Along" to join him on a ride along through the city. But when the crazy night leads them to the most notorious gangster in town, James realizes that his new partner's overly talkative tongue is just as dangerous as deadly bullets.
