About the title
The near future. The Vatican discovers a way to resurrect the recently deceased. The first person brought back to life is little Nick, who died in a car accident. Years later, the world is split into two camps: defenders of the Vatican and of humanity's right to a "second chance," and opponents of the resurrection practice. Among the former is Nick's father, Stanley, who becomes a minister at a virtual church for the resurrected. When one of his congregants commits a mass murder, Stanley learns this isn't the first such incident. As the Vatican tries to cover up these crimes, and his own family comes under threat, Stanley launches his own investigation to expose a global conspiracy whose consequences could be catastrophic for civilization.
