About the title
The events of the film take place in the future, where boxing has been banned for its inhumanity and replaced by fights between 2000-pound robots controlled by humans. A former boxer, now a promoter who has moved into Robot Boxing, decides he has finally found his champion when he comes across a discarded but highly capable robot. At the same time, an 11-year-old boy appears in the hero's life, turning out to be his son.
