About the title
Mandy is a progressive single mother of a difficult child. Her relationship with her parents is complicated: they're divorced, her mother is ill, and her father leads a rather frivolous lifestyle. Mandy starts dating her colleague Pete, an unshakeable stubborn man who dreams of marriage but isn't willing to sacrifice anything to build a family. The two are clearly not meant for each other.
