About the title
A team of documentary filmmakers is making a film about Nim, a hereditary shaman living in the Isan region of northeastern Thailand. The woman explains that a local deity has possessed members of her family since ancient times, and when it was her sister's turn, she refused, so the deity chose Nim instead. Since then, she has been healing villagers of mental ailments. When her sister's husband suddenly dies, Nim goes to the funeral and notices that her niece is behaving very strangely.
