About the series
The story begins in the summer of 2001 in the Azores, in the poor fishing town of Rabo de Peixe, home to four friends struggling with unrelenting poverty. Eduardo, Rafael, and Carlinhos scrape by on fishing, while Sílvia works at a video store that rents out American films. The young people's lives are turned upside down when a drug smugglers' sailing yacht is wrecked in a powerful storm. Hundreds of kilograms of cocaine washed ashore allow the main characters to plunge headlong into the incredibly lucrative but deadly drug trade.
